This is the start of my long-delayed and oft-envisioned NaNoWriMo project centering around the science-fantasy world known as 43 Minutes.
43 Minutes is a science-fantasy universe centered around humanity in the far future after a calamity destroys the Sol system and reduces the center of the human empire to ash. The primary theme is how humanity copes with chaos and uncertainty on a galactic scale. In order to provide additional ‘spice’, alien species are present, some races are relatively well documented while others have remained aloof and are barely known to humanity as a whole.
In scope I’ve always imagined the world to be more on the hard science side than the space opera side, but I could see some of the more unbelievable leaps of faith coming into play.
